We've helped dozens of people land great
jobs at the world's best tech companies.

Dear Aspiring Tech Professional:

Have you been itching to make a serious career change?

Are you a woman, person of color, or graduate of a no-name school who can’t get anyone at the top tech companies to talk to you? (Even though they all say they want a diverse workforce?)

(Hell –– are you getting ignored by your target companies, even though you’re a seemingly-privileged white guy?)

Is it frustrating to constantly hear about the killer salaries and benefits that OTHER candidates seem to be scooping up left and right?

Would it feel like a boulder rolled off your back if you could finally break into one of these enviable tech jobs yourself?

If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, I’m genuinely happy you’re reading this page.

My name is Alan Stein –– I’m the founder of Kadima.

I started this company to put more power, confidence, and insight into the hands of candidates who want to proactively steer their careers.

I spent 26 years in leadership roles at a “who’s who” of top firms –– Google, Facebook, and Salesforce just to name a few.

And what I noticed at almost all of these companies, was a divide between what kind of workforce they SAID they wanted…

…and which kinds of candidates they actually hired when important new roles opened up.

(Somehow, it always tended to be people with Ivy League degrees, or connected “insiders” who gobbled up the best roles before the wider public knew about them.)

I didn’t just want to talk about this problem. Or wait years and years for the system to change.

I wanted to help diverse and underrepresented candidates get great-paying tech jobs NOW!

Did you know there are over 150,000 open roles right now at well-known tech companies that pay well, provide generous benefits, and often DO NOT require technical skills?

A lot of people don’t –– but it’s a massive opportunity for anyone, of any background, who wants to make more money and do more fulfilling work.

So, while I was still working in tech, I began helping people get these jobs on the side.

It started during my days at Google, when I successfully referred nine people into the company.

Then, I coached dozens of friends and acquaintances on how to land jobs at other tech companies:  Amazon, Microsoft, Dell, and on and on.

I found that I had a definite knack for getting people of all backgrounds into these often-exclusionary firms…but I wanted to make a bigger impact.

So, after that, I started coaching groups of candidates (who I didn’t know personally) with their job searches: sharpening their resumes, helping them reach out to key decision makers, and (once they received job offers) even advising with salary negotiations.

Many of these candidates were surprised when I told them that they had been wasting time on things that didn’t matter for their job search.

For instance, I often had to tell people that the time they spent polishing their resume would be better-spent reaching out to decision makers and establishing relationships that could help them get hired. (I also shared effective ways of doing this that don’t take endless time.)

And –– in many cases –– I worked with people to help them overcome a lack of confidence that had set in from months (or years) of radio-silence rejections.

One by one, candidates who came my way started getting phenomenal job offers.

Wesley (another client of mine) had struggled getting recruiters to return his calls for months.

“Frustrated and disheartened”
was how Wesley described his experience.

Less than two months later, I helped Wesley get hired at Salesforce with $132,000 in additional annual comp.

And these are just two out of dozens of career coaching success stories I could share with you.

(One woman –– who wishes not to be named –– went from having her position eliminated at American Express, to joining Google as a Head of Vendor Operations with a salary of more than $500,000 a year.)

This was really rewarding work. I learned that even though tech company hiring processes were often unfair, underestimated candidates could still adapt, overcome, and get hired.

However, even though my clients were getting fantastic results, I could only help a very fixed number of them via group coaching.

Not only that, but a lot of people weren’t in a position to afford the group coaching fees. Others had the money, but not the time.

I kept hearing: “Alan, can you give me a greatest-hits package here, and put your best advice into a format I can go through on my own?”

That’s why kJAM was born.

This online course gives you
the blueprint I developed over my entire career
for getting great-paying jobs in tech.

Including the exact systems and strategies that work for my coaching clients.

kJAM (which stands for Kadima Job Acquisition Method) is an online course broken up into 8 modules that cover every aspect of breaking into elite firms.

The course is based on my GROWTH Method, which simplifies the often-chaotic job search process into a straightforward plan of attack that works.

Whether you’ve tried to get into one of the FAANG companies before, or you’re making your first foray into tech…

kJAM is your one-stop resource for getting a fulfilling job that pays you what you’re worth.

All 8 modules are fully available as soon as you join kJAM (so you don’t have to wait for new modules to unlock each week.)

Each module is packed with worksheets, templates, scripts, and focused video lessons with specific action steps to drive your search.

And unlike other courses that throw the entire “kitchen sink” of info at you without context…

The 8 modules in kJAM are strategically sequenced to give you what you need, when you need it, so you can take action and start seeing results.

What's Included In The kJAM Course...

MODULE 1
Introduction to the Kadima GROWTH Method

Just like I do with my group coaching students, I start off kJAM with an overview of what to expect during your job search. As well as some powerful mindset shifts that will help you navigate around obstacles in the hiring process. Applying at the world’s top tech companies isn’t an ordinary, casual pursuit. It’s a significant challenge! But as long as you clearly understand what you’re getting into, you CAN do it. By the end of this module, you will feel confident and ready to pursue a job at any top tech company you desire. Don’t skip this module!

MODULE 2
Goals

The right tech company (or role) for one person could be a complete nightmare for someone else. There are real differences in culture, work / life balance, role expectations, and the overall atmosphere of working at Google versus working at Intel, or Airbnb. Fortunately, your search becomes A LOT more focused and fast-moving once you have a list of companies that you can really see yourself thriving in. That’s the focus of this module.

MODULE 3
Realistically Assessing & Marketing Your Strengths

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: your resume is NOT the end-all-be-all of getting a great tech job. With that said, it’s still important to have a concise, compelling resume that makes an impression on the hiring manager in the 60 seconds they spend reading it. In this module, I’ll take you through the process I use to “nail your narrative” (with detailed examples) as well as my personal best practices for leveraging LinkedIn in your job search.

MODULE 4
Outreach to Build Your Network

In this module, I’m going to show you how to reach out to influential decision-makers at your target companies and engage them in casual, low-stakes conversations that raise your value in their eyes. From this, you’ll gain valuable “insider” insights that you won't find by reading public information about the company. And you’ll put yourself on the decision-maker’s radar BEFORE you apply to work there. Almost no one does this –– except for outrageously successful applicants!

MODULE 5
Work the System: Knowing When & Where to Apply

What you’re going to do next is search and apply to the right roles, at the right places, at the right time (ideally with referrals). This will lead to recruiter screens, which will lead to hiring manager screens, which will lead to interview loops, which will lead to offers, which will lead to more money! The key to making this work is timing. In this module, we’re going to systematically plot out your application strategy to give you the best odds of getting on the radar of your target companies, and becoming a definite candidate for the roles that you want.

MODULE 6
Train, Tenacity & Thank You

Interviewing at companies like Facebook, Google, Apple, and Amazon is a big step up from what you're used to. But if you’re prepared, interviews are a golden opportunity to shine. In this module, I’ll walk you through recruiter screens, hiring manager screens, and full interview loops. (Including how to excel at each stage.) I’ll share stories from my own interviews (successful and unsuccessful) as well as those of my clients. By the end of this module, you’ll be confident and prepared for the interview gauntlet at ANY top tech firm.

MODULE 7
High Impact Negotiations

Once you successfully execute on the previous six modules, one of your target companies will make you an official job offer. (Often with four confusing but lucrative components: salary, annual bonus, equity, and sign-on bonus.) Congratulations –– you now have the most leverage that you will ever have to earn more!  If you know what to do, you can easily add fifty or even a hundred thousand dollars or more to your compensation. (My personal best was helping a client earn $143,000 more.) Even if you’ve never negotiated salary, you'll be ready to get what you deserve by the end of this module.

MODULE 8
Destination Reached! Wrap Up & Next Steps!

By this point, you’ll have absorbed a lot of valuable information on landing a great-paying tech job. In this “wrap-up” module, I’ll briefly review the most important themes and action steps, as well as offer some advice for making a great impression in your first 90 days at your new job!

Alan was instrumental in working with me through my career search process. He added insights and provided tips that were invaluable to my search. His guidance helped with my securing a lucrative offer from a great company in tech.

- Jackie Giddens, Dell Technologies

Alan is pretty clever when it comes to optimizing the job search due to his wealth of experience. Also, he is a "human-ist" and wired to genuinely enjoy helping people. He helped me move industries and roles, which had eluded me for years.

- Ross Flaharty, Tableau Software

I'm grateful to have been connected with Alan through a mutual friend. His advice and expertise helped me transition from education and find a new position in IT within two months.

- Alex Harris, ChurnZero

These are the hard-fought, real-world insights that you won’t find in books, or from your local well-intentioned-but-ignorant career counselor.

Everything in the kJAM course is from my own successful tech career, and / or my experience helping people get jobs at companies like Facebook, Apple, Amazon, Netflix, Google, Microsoft, Airbnb, Twilio, Intel, VMware, PayPal, Salesforce, and Stripe.

The advice I’m giving you is what actually works today –– not what worked 30 years ago, or what “sounds right” but isn’t.

Everything in the course is yours for life: the video lessons, the worksheets, the templates, the scripts, the recorded interviews. It’s all here for you to watch (and re-watch) whenever you like.

You should expect to budget a couple of hours per week to watch the course videos, and put what you learn into action: building relationships, having conversations, applying for roles, preparing for interviews, and acing those interviews.

Even if you often feel like you “don’t have time” for an ambitious job search, you’ll find it easy to MAKE time once you start seeing progress!

And here’s the best part:

After
you complete the kJAM course, you can request a personal referral to the company of your choice!

This was really important for me to include with the course, so let me take a minute to explain.

Last year, I walked away from my $515,000 job at Salesforce to focus on my mission of accelerating 1 million careers.

Yeah, I'm not making that up.

I want to do everything in my power to get underrepresented and underestimated candidates into the amazing jobs that I (and they) know they deserve.

So after we finished creating the kJAM course, my team and I had a pretty wild idea.

“What if we opened my network of Silicon Valley execs, recruiters, and hiring managers to kJAM students?”

After all: I’ve gotten to know a ton of decision-makers at companies throughout my career.

If you can name a major tech company, chances are I know at least one influential person there.

So, if somebody takes the time to go through this course and educate themselves on the hiring processes that these companies use…

Why wouldn’t I introduce them?

I used to do it for free before Kadima, so why stop now? 🤔

I don’t think any other company with a careers course does this, but I’m excited to try it.

Here’s how you can request a referral to your target company:

  1. Once you finish all 8 modules of kJAM, email our customer support team at [email protected]
  2. We will send you a short questionnaire asking about what you learned from the course, as well as what roles / companies you are interested in.
  3. Then we’ll review your responses and see who we can put you in touch with to accelerate your career.

Imagine for a moment:

What if I referred you –– personally –– to a decision-maker at your favorite company?

What if, with one email or phone call, you were right there in the room with a real chance to get hired?

And not just “in the room”, but ready for that moment, with all the knowledge you need to nail it.

If that sounds like the jolt your job search needs, kJAM is where you want to be.

This all sounds great, but what does kJAM cost?

Before now, the only way you could get my input on accelerating your career was to join a $10,000 weekly group coaching program.

With kJAM, I wanted to create a course that was affordable for ANYONE looking to level up.

So, I’m pricing this at less than $2.73 a day spread over the course of 6 months. (Which is the amount of time it typically takes to undertake a serious job search – although it can also be significantly faster, as we’ve had clients land great rules in as quickly as 3-5 weeks!)

When you combine the material in the course, with guaranteed lifelong access, and the chance to actually get referred into your target company…

I think you’ll find kJAM to be a no-brainer.

Get started now for just $497.

The price goes up to $597 next week, but you can save $100 if you join by Friday 5/27 at Midnight.

One last thing to consider…

Everyone says: “It’s not WHAT you know, it’s WHO you know.”

Well, call me old-fashioned, but I happen to think that it’s about both.

And I didn’t feel comfortable opening kJAM to the public until it could give you both.

The truth is the advice you followed to get your current job probably isn’t good enough for Google, Apple, or Amazon.

Some of the increased difficulty is because of discrimination and bias, but not all of it is –– these are elite companies, the best of the best. They’re selective for a reason!

However, just because it’s harder to get hired doesn’t mean it’s impossible. And it damn sure doesn’t mean it’s not worthwhile.

Getting hired at Google in 2011 changed my entire life. It gave me a new level of financial security. It gave me “career capital” that I leveraged into several other great jobs. And it gave me confidence to aim higher than I ever thought I could.

After I walked away from Silicon Valley, I wanted to “open the kimono” and show people what it really takes to break in and succeed there.

I’m not going to bullshit you: it ain't easy, and it won't happen by next week. (Or probably even next month.)

But if you’re really ready to make it happen, kJAM will show you the path.

And I’ll try to refer you to a recruiter at the places you want to work.

All you have to do is take the first step and go through the course.

Are you ready?
